I love pelicans! All that white isn't the easiest subject to take a picture.

I regularly run into this challenge with egrets. My tendency to overexpose doesn't help any.

That's some fence! I've put in a mile or two of barbed wire myself back in the day but it had barbs every 4'-6" and a T post every 12-15'. That thing looks almost mean enough to be the border wall.

One of my daily visitors; a female Rivoli's Hummingbird that's seen better days. She's a bit scruffy and missing most of her tail feathers, but still hanging in there. I love it when I can recognize individual birds!

The Nanday Parakeet. A South American species which escaped from captivity and established feral populations in Florida, among other places. Accepted by the ABA in the early 2000's.

I encourage you to post it in the WBIT Forum Collaborative Life Photo List thread, as many Whatbirders will not have photos of it.

My little gal pal's tail is finally growing back in, and her oddly positioned feathers are improving as well! I couldn't get her to sit still with the tail fanned out to show you, but her tail is kind of a sickle shape now LOL!

Update! My Rivoli's tail is almost completely grown in, and her other feathers are lovely and well-groomed. And she seems to have a boyfriend, but she doesn't let him drink from the feeder!
