Help with a waterthrush

Post by Sbruenjes »

I saw this bird today at Garret Mountain Reservation in Passaic County, NJ. It didn't make a sound.. Not sure if this is Northern or Louisiana. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd call this a Northern Waterthrush. Supercilium isn't super broad on the trailing end, and it seems to have some streaking on the throat.

Agree with Northern Waterthrush - white flanks, leg color and throat streaks although, to me, the supercilium doesn't appear to get narrower.
