Definitely my best shot of a Wilson's Plover (proposed new name Thick-billed Plover). The bird was trotting along the beach at full speed.

I don't think it's possible to take a bad picture of a grebe. They're great little subjects!

A Dark-eyed Junco from western NC today.

Thought this one was a fun shot. A northern house wren peeking out of the opening of a snow-making gun at Beaver Creek, CO. I think it built its nest in there. Hopefully it moves out before they start making snow in the fall!

Took this one on a hike today. I'm not certain but I think it might be a cross between a Black Capped and a Mountain Chickadee. I've never seen a Mountain with such a dirty brow before and both species definitely are prominent in this area.

After a few close ups thought it'd be fun to pull it back and have some shots of the American Dipper surveying his domain.

A flock of Black-Bellied Whistling Ducks from Austin, TX earlier this week.

Thursday it was an egg, don't know when exactly when this Tricolored Heron hatched.
