What Bird Is That Forum

It has been a while since I posted this pic on the whatbird forum. Nonetheless it is a rare occasion when I can post a photo of a leucitic robin.

Thanks but this week's species is the Northern Rough-winged Swallow. Did you intend this one for 'Best Photo of the Day', maybe?

This was taken at a farm pond near the house. Maybe it demonstrates NRWS can't read, or maybe they can and just don't care.

Well, they are't going beyond the sign (I wouldn't count the post!)

I didn't have last week's Canyon Towhee or Greater Yellowlegs. Or this week's Northern Rough-winged Swallow.

This time I have both. Northern parula are pretty common here in northern NJ in the Spring. I got the Lincoln sparrow on a trip to Austin, TX.

Nothing great for either species. Lincoln's Sparrow is uncommon locally and the ones I've met have been very shy.[attachment=1]

Took this one back in June in Beaver Creek, CO.

I've only got the Lincoln's Sparrow, after a number of false alarms - they look a lot like juvenile Rufous-Collared Sparrows! I've seen Tropical Parulas, but I don't think I have any photos (and, of course, they're not Northern Parulas!)

Got both for a change.

OOPS! I think you're right; I remember now we mis-identified it during the count and later figured out it was wrong; I didn't change my photo title. I did see a Linclon's Sparrow, though, and I have a photo somewhere! We saw it again this year at the count, but I don't think I got a photo this time.

This Lincoln's Sparrow was a milestone bird for me. It was my 100th photographed Life List bird.
