Great Black Hawk?

Arivaipa Canyon, AZ
6/3/84

Bering had them labelled as "Black Hawk". eBird doesn't show any sightings anywhere near Arizona, but it certainly looks like a Great Black Hawk. Is there anything I'm missing?

I know when I vacationed at the Grand Canyon, I got a pic of a similar looking bird and this site identified it as a zone tailed hawk. Don't have anything like it in New Jersey, so I'm no expert. Could this be a zone tailed hawk?

Bumping up the brightness and contrast to bring out the white on the underside, I think you're probably right.

It's a Common Black Hawk, which is the expected species of Black Hawk in the ABA area. I think there are only 2 records of Great Black Hawk if I'm not forgetting any individuals.
