The rainy/snowy spring weather of Avon, CO brought some new birds to my local park today. I think I've got them all pegged. Spotted Sandpiper, Eared Grebe, Blue-Winged Teal, Song Sparrow and Common Grackle. Hoping the experts on here can please help me confirm. Thanks!

I will not attempt to confirm any of them, but your photos are absolutely magnificent.

Agree with all except Song Sparrow. It's actually a female Red-winged Blackbird.

That makes sense about the female red-winged blackbird. There were plenty of males around and it seemed a lot bigger than a song sparrow. I guess I never noticed how similar their markings are before. Thanks for the help!

"Female Red-winged vs. sparrow" has been a running theme on ID forums for years. Think of it as a rite of passage!

Even though I'm well aware of that, and I see flocks of them, the poster's 5th photo didn't look like a Female Red-winged to me for some reason. Or a sparrow.
