I notice the bird is perched on what appears to be a feeder with seeds. Do you have suet? Pine Warblers (and others you may not have seen in the yard) love suet.

I notice the bird is perched on what appears to be a feeder with seeds. Do you have suet? Pine Warblers (and others you may not have seen in the yard) love suet.

That cage feeder (the cage is to keep doves from eating a week's worth of peanuts in 5 minutes) has mealworms (fresh dead mealworms) in it as well as peanuts. The wrens and phoebes love them. I assume other insect-eaters would as well. There is a cylinder feeder above it with seeds bound together with a suet-like substance. I do have suet cakes on hand, but usually don't put them out in the summer. Even the kind advertised as "melt-free" don't stand up well to our heat and become a gooey mess. I'll think about putting some in the side cages of the birdhouse feeder later.
