Unknown loud call

Need help identifying a bird? Please post your question here and if possible include a photo. Also let us know where and when you saw the bird. Other things that help are listing any field marks that stood out, behavioral information like how it walked, hopped or flew. This Forum is just for North American birds.

Unknown loud call

Ridgefield NWR, WA this week. In the swamp within 10' of me but of course I could see nothing.

Life - 590: Bullock’s Oriole, Tundra Bean-Goose, Western Tanager
Tennessee - 340: Black-capped Chickadee, Ruffed Grouse, Green-tailed Towhee
Rutherford - 248: Laughing Gull, Red-throated Loon, Common Merganser

Habitat and Merlin would agree with you. It would be a lifer for me heard or seen. :D
