Help with some ID's
Help with some ID's
I saw these birds today at the South Mountain Reservation in Essex County, NJ. I'm thinking blue headed and maybe yellow throated vireo, but I'm not certain. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Note the orange feet on the warbler. Vireos have blue feet.

You can't see that bird has yellow feet or you can't see that vireos have blueish grey ones?Charlie Spencer wrote: Thu May 21, 2026 10:37 amBoy, I haven't read that in a LONG time!

That vireos have bluish ones. They most often look black or dark gray to me. Less than one in ten appear to have a bluish sheen to me. Photos or field, no difference.Kevin wrote: Thu May 21, 2026 10:28 pm You can't see that bird has yellow feet or you can't see that vireos have blueish grey ones?
It's not like that's the only field mark. I just rely on others.
