Re: Shorbs
You appear to have a couple of immature Wilson's Phalaropes in the third photo. That photo appears to have mostly dowitchers, but I can't say Long or Short.
More to come, hopefully. I've got my own load of grainy shorb photos to wade through!

Re: Shorbs
Bit of a guess on the bird in the center of the first photo...maybe Buff-breasted Sandpiper. Looks like amazing habitat!

Re: Shorbs
Cheyenne bottoms is one of the best spots in the state and buff breasted is what I’ve called it too

Re: Shorbs
Another vote for Buff-breasted. Now we've done the hard one someone else can tackle the easy ones.

Re: Shorbs
Anything that’s not a white rumped sandpiper or Wilson’s phalarope or stilt sandpiper or pectoral or black bellied plover

Looks like a young or male Wilson’s phalarope to me

Re: Shorbs
Except for the one bird in the first shot I don't see anything other than what you just mentioned. I don't see any reason it couldn't be a Buff-breasted.Kansabirdguy wrote: Wed May 20, 2026 12:41 pm Anything that’s not a white rumped sandpiper or Wilson’s phalarope or stilt sandpiper or pectoral or black bellied plover
