Sparrow?
Sparrow?
At first sight I thought it was a song sparrow but seems darker and more streaked than the ones I've seen around here so wondering if it's something else. Saw it this evening in Avon, CO. Thanks!

They can differ drastically by region/sub species. So much so that when I traveled to the East coast I was puzzled trying to ID a bird I see daily here out West. I wonder if you're in an area that can see overlap between them?

Could be. I've seen a ton the past 2 months around here but typically they are a lighter brown.
