From Tuesday, I chased a Lazuli in a guys yard that has been there about a week. While there I got one glimpse of this one is there any way to distinguish it as Lazuli or Indigo? Both are rare here Painted is the only expected one. Image

Even though they aren't expected. Location? Please.

Does the bird have wing bars? I can't really tell from the photos. Thanks.

There was a male lazuli in the yard for sure, and Indigo Buntings are rare but occasionally seen here.
I thought it looked like it had wing bars but maybe not. I can't tell at all now that I'm on a phone.

The second post looks like a female Painted to me. Overall greenish, pale bill, dark legs, no strong wing markings.

It's a Lazuli, Indigos tend to be much streakier, uniform brown below, and those wing bars are REALLY strong for an INBU.
