flycatcher
flycatcher
This bird was posing nicely for a few seconds this afternoon at Horicon Marsh in south/central Wisconsin. I could hear a wood pewee in the area, but this doesn't look like a wood pewee to me. It seems more like an Empidonax flycatcher, but I have the worst time distinguishing them. It was in a very brushy area with big trees and a lot of undergrowth. In terms of size, it seemed bigger than a least flycatcher.

Re: flycatcher
Alder/Willow. Leaning Alder, but that pair is nearly impossible to separate without multiple insane photos from several angles or recordings.
